I'm really not sure how exactly this happens, but apparently a previously unreleased track of guitar shredding legend Jimi Hendrix has magically been unearthed and is available for our listening pleasure now. And not only that, but there are also 11 more unheard tracks all secretly recorded between 1968-70 that will be released along with this new tune "Somewhere" in a brand new album to be released in only a few short months. Mind-boggling really how these tracks can remain hidden for nearly 45 years and then just show up out of the blue and blast your pants off. As per the Jimi Hendrix website:
On March 5th, a collection of 12 previously unreleased recordings by Jimi Hendrix will see the light. People, Hell and Angels follows Hendrix in 1968 and 1969 as he works on material apart from the Jimi Hendrix Experience and suggests new, experimental directions. ... Hendrix toys with horns, keyboards, percussion and a second guitar, exploring fresh diversions from his legendary guitar work.
It really makes you wonder what else Mr. Hendrix could have accomplished if his career wasn't cut so short, but I guess for now this is about the second best thing that any fan of music could truly hope for. People, Hell and Angels will be released on March 5th and can currently be preordered through the Amazon link below...
